Dressage

My journey with horses began when I was seven years old at the riding school at the Equestrian Sports Centre Sopot Hippodrome. By the age of thirteen, I had been admitted to the dressage stable by the director at the time , Bogusław Misztal, to start dressage training. Since 1986, I have represented Hipopdrom Sopot competing at national and international levels of dressage competitions. Each year, I took part in Dressage Championships for Juniors and Young Riders, achieving great success.
I was educated through modern dressage methods of training and spent years working hard on producing young dressage stallions. I learned a great deal during that time, but also I was always curious to learn the classical dressage training approach. For many years, I searched for answers. I wanted to understand how horses learn, how their bodies work, and how I can communicate with them more clearly and fairly, based on a system that puts horse in the centre while developing balance, flexibility, straightness, lightness and athleticism.
That search eventually led me to Philippe Karl’s book Twisted Truths of Modern Dressage. I found a classical dressage philosophy that brought together classical principles, science, biomechanics, and horse welfare at the centre. In 2020, I began training with Catherine Marshall, Master Teacher of Philippe Karl’s École de Légèreté. From the very beginning I felt I had finally found what I had been looking for years. All the puzzle pieces came together to form a complete picture. Since then, alongside my wonderful PRE gelding, Jayem Ragnar, I continue to practice classical dressage and learn every day. He has been my greatest friend, constantly reminding me that good horsemanship begins with humble listening and patience. Meeting Philippe Karl in 2024 and getting his book Twisted Truths of Modern Dressage signed was an emotional moment. Today, I have a passion for sharing my knowledge of Classical Dressage Training methods with other riders at all levels.
My lessons include lunging, in-hand work, some jumping and riding according to the principles of the EdL.

About me

I believe that when we replace force and restriction with communication based on clarity, understanding, and trust, horses become more confident, better balanced, and more willing partners.
For me, dressage has always been about harmony between horse and rider, a shared journey of development, and a partnership built on mutual respect.
